I am an experienced Data Scientist with a strong focus on the chemical industry. My background is characterized by a solid scientific foundation combined with many years of practical experience in data analysis and process optimization.
My passions range from amateur radio (call sign DO7DH), mountain hiking, and sailing to computer and microcontroller technology (Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32). I am particularly interested in networks, especially HAMNET and IoT applications, which further strengthens my analytical skills and understanding of networked systems.
In 2001, I obtained my general university entrance qualification (Abitur) from Albert-Martmöller-Gymnasium in Witten. Subsequently, I completed my military service and began studying Chemistry at Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität Münster in the winter semester of 2002/2003. I successfully completed my studies, earning a diploma in Chemistry in the summer semester of 2007. After graduation, I began my dissertation in the working group of Prof. Dr. F. E. Hahn. On September 28, 2011, I successfully defended my doctoral thesis in Inorganic Chemistry.
Since November 2011, I have been working at Clariant in Burgkirchen an der Alz. I started my career as a Laboratory Head / Process Engineer in chemical process development and then progressed into Digital Solutions. I currently work as a Global Senior Data Scientist on development projects in the field of operational data analysis and innovative AI solutions.
